We have been recognized by all major Charlotte media outlets as the place to go for a unique sandwich and to enjoy the quality of true NYC bagels, Boar's Head products & a lot more good stuff.

Owen's Bagel & Deli's roots go back to Oxford, OH, where Ned and Bonnie and our fellow Miami University alumni have been steaming bagel sandwiches for almost 40 years (www.bagelanddeli.com) -- just like Gus' does in Knoxville, TN where Ned originally gained a crush on steamed subs right around the time bell-bottoms were fashionable and all the kids were saying "groovy."   In addition to us down here in Charlotte, our buddy Greg owns a shop in Chicago (www.chicagobagelauthority.com) and Smitty owns one in Moscow, ID (www.moscowbagel.com).  Today, Owen's B&D is managed by the most good-looking man in Charlotte, Richard, who oversees a collective effort by a great group of employees.  Geoff and Missy look forward to the day when our children, Caroline (Sweet Caroline) and Mary (Mary's Grubby Bubby and Proud Mary) can pitch in for this family affair.  Lord knows we need it.

Over the years we have been approached many, many times to open up more of these stores.  We have refused because we are happy with our little place in the world, however we would love to consult to you if you want to do what we do here at OBD.  If so, please email geoff@owensbagelanddeli.com to talk it over some.
